Oscar Elías Biscet spent his first 24 hours as a free man surrounded by the family from which he’d been separated for years … Biscet will speak publicly about his imprisonment on Monday during a two-way web conference to be transmitted from a secure location in Havana to Miami Dade College.

The former political prisoner, who was released late Friday, spent time with his wife, Elsa Morejón, visited his parents in Havana and called his two children in Miami.
