MIAMIHERALD: Magaly Suarez’s passion for teaching ballet inspires young students and pros

(Magaly) Suarez, 48, has been pushing dancers to the heights of ballet since she graduated from the school of the National Ballet of Cuba in 1980 and startled the company leadership by asking to teach instead of perform. “Since I graduated from school my passion was teaching,” Suarez says. “That’s the big difference between me and other teachers. They dance first.”
